Student leadership

​Burpengary State School values students and the roles that they can play in making our school successful and great.  We take student leadership very seriously here, and endeavour to give students rich, genuine, and worthwhile leadership responsibilities and delegations that have a positive impact on our school.

Each year, our leaders participate in a Student Leadership Conference. The conference is practical, interactive and specifically targeted at the age of primary school student leaders to understand leadership principles, discuss role modelling and peer pressure, how to work to support school needs, and how to motivate others. 

Our student leaders run our major events and ceremonies such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day and Year 6 Graduation.  They have key roles in Student Council activities and fundraising, and leave a distinct legacy annually to our school tapestry.
