Burpengary State School has a tradition of academic excellence since 1876 and we work hard to ensure that we are the school of first choice for the local community. We have third generations of families enrolling in our school to maximise learning and promote growth and opportunity for their children. What better testimony could an educational institution have than that!
As Principal, I have a firm belief that it takes a whole village to raise a child. With well over 130 years worth of former Burpengary SS students, many of whom still live in our local area, the potential for an organised Alumni of past students to be able to support our current students in the school is limitless!
This could be in the form of class talks, Assembly/Parade addresses, Inspirational stories, mentoring students, school and/or local history, volunteering (gardeners, readers, tutors, mentors, teaching of games and life skills), philanthropy – cash or in-kind support to the school, or some other way that we haven’t even thought of yet!
